To display this name it is required that your computer first establishes true
data connections with such Access Points RLMs. This means your computer
did not yet:
•
Walk around
•
Use the
$3 1DPHV
tab
When you are running the CP 1515 Manager tool in site monitor mode, you
can use the
$3 1DPHV
tab to assign the Radio Link Module name “on-the-
fly” to any Access Point RLM MAC address that you spot.
When you spot Access Points RLMs identified as “unknown” proceed as
follows:
1.
Open the tab
$3 QDPHV
.
2. Enter a MAC address or double-click on one of the MAC addresses in
the list.
3. Enter a name that allows for easy identification of this Radio Link Module
in the Access Point RLM

field.
4. Next click the
$GG WR 7DEOH
button to associate the name with this
MAC address.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for all other MAC addresses.
6. When finished return to the
6LWH 0RQLWRU
tab to proceed with the site
monitor survey.
When walking throughout the wireless networking environment, you may
see new MAC addresses appear when approaching other Access Points
RLMs. If that is the case, repeat the steps described above to complete your
Access Point (RLM)
