RADIUS Server Access Control is a method where you use Radio Link
Modules in combination with a third-party RADIUS server.
To use RADIUS Server Access Control, you will need to:
1.
Setup a RADIUS server
2. To configure a RADIUS server do the following:
—
The list of MAC addresses should be entered in the server’s
“users” file/database along with the password (=authorization
password).
—
It is also necessary to build a list of IP addresses of all Radio Link
Modules that will use the RADIUS server. This list should be
entered in the server’s station file/database along with the
authorization password.
3. Build a list of MAC addresses of all (wireless) stations that you wish to
authorize to establish a wireless connection with your Radio Link Module
infrastructure.
4. Configure all Radio Link Modules to:
—
Enable RADIUS MAC Address authentication
—
Set the RADIUS Authorization Lifetime
—
Set the Authorization Password
—
Identify the IP Address of the RADIUS server(s)
—
Verify the Authentication Port of the RADIUS server(s)
