• The absolute range of the radio signal from the Access Points RLMs is
identified by the gray-dotted circles
• The reduced virtual range is identified by the colored areas.
With the new settings for the Distance between APs parameter, stations
will only defer for radio signals that are received at a level that is equal or
higher to the average signal as applicable in the colored areas. Messages
with a lower signal level are considered to be traffic belonging to another
cell, so will be ignored when the station determines whether it can start
transmitting.
Roaming stations will start looking for/connect to another RLM as soon as
they leave the colored area belonging to a specific Access Point RLM.
