Install the rear cover.
Cleaning and Replacing
the Roller Assembly Kit
If the paper does not feed correctly from the paper
cassette, then clean the Roller Assembly Kit, which is
attached to the bottom of the printer.
When paper feed trouble repeatedly occurs even
though the Roller Assembly Kit has been cleaned
appropriately, replace the Roller Assembly Kit with a
new one.

Items to Prepare
Use a soft commercially available cloth to clean the
rollers. Prepare this in advance. We recommend using
a cloth that is low-lint and anti-static.
How to Clean the Roller Assembly Kit

Turn off the power to the printer, and unplug
all cables, including the power cable.

Open the front cover.

Pull the paper cassette out.
c Important:
Use both hands to pull the paper cassette out.
If you use only one hand, the paper cassette
may fall and be damaged because the paper
cassette is heavy when it is pulled out.

Remove the rear cover.
E
Place your hand as shown in the illustration,
and pull out the interior of the printer until it
stops.
