Refilling Ink
Precautions Regarding
Maintenance
Before starting this procedure, be sure to read the
precautions about handling the ink bottles.

Important:

Epson recommends the use of genuine Epson
ink bottles.
❏
Do not repeatedly refill with small amounts of
ink. Otherwise, the printer could be damaged.
❏
Do not allow the top of the ink bottle to hit
against any objects after removing its cap;
otherwise ink may spill.
❏
Do not shake the bottles too hard. Ink could
leak out.
❏
Do not leave the bottle inserted into the ink
tank. Doing so could damage the bottle or
cause ink to leak.
How to Refill Ink
A
Check that the power light is lit.
When the power light is flashing, the printer is
operating. Wait until all operations have
stopped.

Open the front cover.

Place your hand as shown in the illustration,
and pull out the interior of the printer until it
stops.
D
Open the ink tank cover.
Read the precautions for filling ink that are
shown on screen, and then proceed to the next
screen.

Open the ink tank cap of the color that you
want to refill.

Important:
Make sure that the color of the ink tank
matches the ink color that you want to refill.
F
While the ink bottle is standing fully upright,
slowly turn the cap to remove it.
Be careful not to spill any ink.
