12. The functions available from the controlling power supply keypad are:

3.2.2.3.2 REMOTE OPERATION USING KEYPAD TO CONTROL ANOTHER MBT POWER SUPPLY

The following steps are performed at the controlling power supply.

1.

Press MENU ON/OFF to enter the Menu, then press NEXT until “Remote Channel” is

displayed; press ENTER to select this function.

2.

Enter the node number (address) of the power supply to be controlled. This is a number
between 1 and 31 (the node address is set via DIP switch A3S1 accessed through the top
cover; see PAR. 2.6.1). MBT power supplies are shipped with the node address set to a
default value of 1. Enter the node number and press ENTER.

a. If the node address does not exist, or the connection through the IEEE 1118 bus is not

valid, the display will briefly read:

then the unit will return to Menu level with the display reading “Remote Channel.”

Press MENU ON/OFF again to exit the Menu.

b. If the selected unit (node) is present and the control lines operational, the display reads
