3) When output voltage (Voltage mode) or output current (Current mode) reach zero, the

relays are switched to the new position.

4) When the switching action is complete, the parameters stored in step 1 are restored.

NOTE: The switching time of the output relays is approximately 500 microseconds; this must

be taken into account when setting up a program which exercises the output relays.

The commands DC ON and DC OFF have a different effect, depending on whether the unit is
operating in commanded Voltage mode or commanded Current mode. In commanded Voltage
mode the load is either connected (DC ON) or disconnected (DC OFF) by the output relays. In
commanded Current mode the load is either released, allowing current to flow to the load (DC
ON) or shorted (DC OFF). This feature protects the load against overload shocks.

Upon initial power up of the MR or MGR suffix power supply, the unit will be in Voltage mode,
Polarity nonreversed, with the load disconnected (DC OFF). The display will show the pro-
grammed value for output voltage and current limit.
