Adding a data source to an object
Editing and deleting data entities
To edit or delete data entities:
1.
Open Xpanel’s Asset Browser (Ctrl+A) and select the D ATA tab.
2. Expand the schema that contains the data entity.
3. Right-click the data entity that is to be edited or deleted:
• Select the E
DIT command. The data entities Settings window appears. Make
the appropriate edits and click OK.
Or,
• Select the D
ELETE command. When the D ELETE DATA TICKER window
appears, click Y ES to confirm that you want to delete the data entity.
Renaming or saving a copy of a data entity with a new name
The same issues surrounding the R ENAME versus the S AVE A S functions for schemas also
applies to snapshots, tickers and multi-tickers (see “Renaming or saving a copy of a
schema with a new name” on page 6-6 ). Basically, renaming is risky unless you have just
created the data entity. Any links you have made with it on a panel will be broken.
Saving a data entity as something else creates a copy of it while keeping the original and
any links created with it.
