Playing out rundowns using Xplay
Manual playout mode
M ANUAL playout mode allows you to control the pace at which the rundown’s items are
taken to air by clicking the T AKE button. Therefore, rather than using the playlist items’
O FFSET settings, you can click the T AKE button to bring the most recently cued item to air
on the device/keyer, while the next item in the rundown is cued.

To play out a playlist in Manual mode:
1.
Open the rundown in Xplay (see page 11-4 ).
2. Verify that Xplay is in Manual playout mode (see page 11-8 ).
3. Verify that Xplay is connected to the desired playout device(s) (see page 11-7 ).
4. Select the desired starting point for the playout. Either double-clicking on the playlist
item, or click the C
UE button to indicate that it is the next item to go to air.
The playlist item is cued is displayed in the Preview pane on the right-side.
5. Select the T AKE button to bring the cued item to air on the output device(s).
The next item in the playlist is automatically cued up.

OTE
Select the A CTIONS >C LEAR A LL command from the Xplay menu to clear the device (remove
the current cued items and/or on air status). Similarly, you can clear the Preview and device
panes by clicking the C
LEAR / U NCUE override buttons above each of the display panes.
