when and how frequently Xplay will take the initiative to reload the rundown. See

“Updating and

reloading a rundown in Xplay” on page 11-5

for an overview discussion of this topic.

To configure Xplay’s playlist reload and update settings:
1.

setting.

Enter a number to represent the number of seconds between each time (continuous)
that Xplay checks to see if the current playlist has changed in the Xmedia Server.
Entering 0 means that Xplay will never check for updated versions. The action taken
when a playlist has changed is determined by the A

RELOAD

PLAYLISTS

setting.

Selecting the check box means that when an updated version of the currently active
playlist is found, it will automatically be loaded. When the check box is deselected, the

will turn orange to alert the user to the new version so they

can reload it manually.

Manually reloading a rundown in Xplay

When the P

LAYLIST

UPDATE

INTERVAL

setting has not been activated (see

“Configuring

Xplay’s update and reload settings”

), Xplay will not check the Xmedia Server for updates to

its currently opened rundown. For any changes that were made to the rundown to take
effect, the rundown must be manually reloaded in Xplay using the R

ELOAD

P

LAYLIST

button

in the Playlist window’s toolbar.
