Opening a story and adding a page or clip in iNEWS
To open a story and add a graphics page or clip using Xnews:
1.
Open the story in which you want to add the page.
a.
Navigate through the Directory Panel to the queue folder that contains the desired
story (e.g. NRCS-A>SHOW>VERTIGO).
b.
Open the queue by double-clicking the queue’s heading in the Directory Panel

The stories belonging to the queue are listed in the Queue Panel.
c.
Select the slug name of the story that contains the page or clip that you want to
open (figure
The pages and clip belonging to the story are listed in the Instruction Panel side of
the Story Panel.

Launch Xnews by selecting T

Navigate through the Xnews Asset Browser and Asset Gallery to locate the template,
page, or clip that you want to insert into the story.
4.
Open the template, page or clip and make the appropriate edits:
For templates and pages:
a.
Open the page/template/clip by double-clicking on the template/page/clip’s
heading/proxy in the Asset Gallery (see

Make any required changes to the page’s editable fields (see

Open the clip by double-clicking on the clip’s heading/proxy in the Asset Gallery

Optional: Edit the mark in and/or mark out settings for the clip (see
