The Click 500 is programmed by connecting a serial cable from the RS-232 DB-9 port on
the front of the module and running Dynamic C software. This software includes an editor,
a compiler and a debugger. The Click 500 software package provides convenient building
blocks that allow for rapid development and deployment of custom applications on the
Click 500.
Installing the Click 500 Software Package
Released versions of the Click 500 software package can be downloaded by going to www.
wavetronix.com/support. The software package contains the Click 500 libraries, example
source code and application binary code all within a single compressed file.
When you have acquired the compressed file, simply decompress it into a directory of your
choosing. The compressed file will have a name with version and build information in the
following format: CLICK500_V1.0.09.08.17.3.zip. The numbers in the filename following
the “CLICK500_V” header are separated by periods. The following is a list and description
of the parts of the filename:
˽ Major and minor version – V1.0
˽ Build year (YY) – 09
˽ Build month (MM) – 08
