Use different tabs to group similar settings. For example, in the Simple driver below, the
Min Speed and Max Speed thresholds are used to set up the alert are on the Setup tab (see
Figure 11.6). The remaining variables are all related to the output signals and messages and
are grouped on their own Output tab.

The Min Speed, Max Speed, Duration (ms), UTC diff (hr) and Message labels are used to
clarify the functionality of each control.
Increment/decrement boxes are very handy for setting numerical values. You can set the
maximum of these controls as they relate to your application. Consider setting fractional
values using scientific units (e.g. milliseconds).
The drop-down box is useful for selecting a setting from a list. In Figure 11.6, it is assumed
that the real time clock is in UTC time. You can specify local time using the UTC hour
offset control.
The checkbox is a great way to enable or disable features and the edit box is a convenient
way to modify text strings.
