For currents other than 4-20mA, use the connection of Figure 13-9d. The channel must be set to output
voltage. The current at zero percent output will be zero. The current at 100 percent output is determined
by resistor R1, the load resistance, and the voltage range. To calculate R1 first determine the resistance of
the load, RL, from its specifications. The maximum current, I, is determined by the formula below.
Imax = Vmax
÷ (RL + R1)
