PC TopKAT Online System Detailed Operational Process
Transaction Auto Export Files
• There are two files that PC Online automatically exports the captured transactions to
“Rawtrans.dat” and “PCTopKAT_Online.xls”.
• Fallback transactions are not posted to “PCTopKAT_Online.xls”.
RAWTRANS.DAT
• PC Online posts all captured transactions, Normal Equipment, Supervisor
Equipment/(Driver) and Fallback/Host Offline transactions to the Rawtrans.dat file.
• The Rawtrans.dat file is saved in the C:\Program Files\Gasboy\PC TopKAT
Online\Outbox\Transactions folder.
Note: For the export file layout, refer to
“Appendix A: Prompts at the Hertz Online
• This file contains a record for all transactions until they are retrieved through host
processing.
• If the Rawtrans.dat file is not being copied and cleared on a regular basis by the
customer’s mainframe, it must be deleted at least once a year.
PCTopKAT_Online.xls
PCTopKAT_Online.xls is a file designed and maintained by the customer. The file must be
placed in C:\Program Files\PC TopKAT Online\Files. PC Online only exports “Authorized”
(normal and supervisor) transaction totals to “PCTopKAT_Online.xls”. This file must be
posted to, at the time of the transaction being posted to the PC Online database, be in place and
unopened in C:\Program Files\PC TopKAT Online\Files. Error records are placed in the
SpreadSheet_Errors.dat file. The sale file location is C:\Program Files\PC TopKAT
Online\Files.
Files/Transaction
The transactions captured/polled without errors appears as shown in the

captured and stored database of transactions is searchable. The entire database of stored
transactions may be purged periodically, if required.
• Green - Transactions are normal/known Equipment numbers.
• Yellow - Transactions are Supervisor Equipment/(Driver).
• Red - Transactions are Fallback.
