Front Panel LED Status Indicators
Eight LEDs on the Front Panel (Refer to Table 4-1) indicate the status of operation. The LED colors
maintain a consistent meaning.

Demodulators LED Indicators 1 - 4
Off
Indicates that the burst demodulator in this position is not
present in the gateway.
Signal Lock
Green
(normal)
Indicates that the burst demodulator is locked to an incoming
carrier, including FEC synchronization.
Major Alarm
Red
Indicates that the burst demodulator is in an alarmed
condition and not locked to any carrier.
Minor Alarm
Yellow
Indicates that a burst demodulator warning condition exists.
Modulator LED Indicator
Transmit On
Green
(normal)
Indicates that the burst modulator is ON and transmitting
without fault.
Major Alarm
Red
Indicates that the burst modulator is an alarmed condition
and the gateway is not transmitting.
Minor Alarm
Yellow
Indicates that a burst modulator warning condition exists.
Common LED Indicator
Off
Indicates that the common alarm is not present.
Fault
Red
Indicates a problem in the gateway’s common circuitry, e.g.
the power supply or processor.
Test LED Indicator
Off
Indicates a none test mode condition.
On
Yellow
Indicates there is a test mode running in the gateway.
Event LED Indicator
Off
Indicates that the event is not present in the system
On
Yellow
Indicates one or more events have occurred in the gateway
