Threading the Machine
• Threading the machine
* Raise the thread take-up iever to its highest position by
turning the handwheel counterclockwise.
* Raise the presser foot litter.
* Place a spooi on the spool pin, with the thread coming
off as shown.
¡T] Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread guide.
d] While hoidtng the thread near the spooi, draw the end of
the thread down around the check spring holder
fslFtrmiy draw the thread up from right to left over the
take-up lever, and down into the take-up iever eye,

] Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on
the left.
[sjThread the needle from front to back, or use a needle
threader.
NOTE:
The needle threader can be used with a #11 to #16
needle, or a #11 Blue needie,
Thread size 50 to 100 is recommended.

D Raise the needle to its highest position. Push down the
needle threader knob © as far as it wii! go.
The hook comes out through the needle eye from
behind.
[] Paying close attention to the needle point, draw the
thread around the guide © and under the hook ®.
D Release the knob slowly while holding the thread end ®
with your hand. A loop of the thread is pulled up through
the needle eye.
