3.2.4 Instrument icon
When you click with the right mouse button on the instrument icon, you
will see the following menu:
Open Opens the window for System Settings.
Hardware Opens the window for Hardware Settings.
Spectrum window Opens the SPECTRUM WINDOW .
Unlink Unlink device from the system.
3.2.5 Hardware start/stop and baseline recording
Start
Starting the hardware (by selecting
SYSTEM / Control / Startup
hardware ) on the 844 UV/VIS Compact IC includes starting the high-
pressure pump and, depending on the system start values Startup with
hardware defined on the Configuration tab, starting the UV lamp, the VIS
lamp, and, if present, the column heating and peristaltic pump.
At the same time Recording the measuring signal is started, using
the method defined in the system. The measuring signal is recorded
independently from the time for the chromatogram set under
Duration ,
until either data acquisition is stopped with SYSTEM / Control / Stop data
acquisition or a new determination is started. Alternatively data recording
can also be interrupted by clicking on in the chromatogram
window. In this case the user is asked whether the recorded baseline is
to be saved or not.
Stop
By selecting
SYSTEM / Control / Shutdown hardware the high-pressure
pump, UV lamp, VIS lamp and, if present, the column heating and the
peristaltic pump of the 844 UV/VIS Compact IC will be stopped
immediately. The current determination and the processing of the active
sample table will also be stopped. In addition, the remote output lines
will be set to the values defined for the parameter
PowerON values
on
the tab Outputs in the HARDWARE window.
3.2.6 Determination start/stop
