Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

Observe the following precautions when troubleshooting the drive:

• Stop the drive.

• Disconnect, tag, and lockout AC power before working on the drive.

• Verify that there is no voltage present at the AC input power terminals. Refer to

figure 4.1 for the location of the terminals.

Problems Not Reported by Fault Codes

If a problem exists in the absence of a fault code, it is most likely the result of wiring or
programming. Refer to the table below to diagnose and correct some of these types
of problems.

ATTENTION: Only qualified personnel familiar with the construction and
operation of this equipment and the hazards involved should install,
adjust, operate, and/or service this equipment. Read and understand
this instruction manual in its entirety before proceeding. Failure to
observe this precaution could result in severe bodily injury or loss of life.

ATTENTION: After disconnecting input power, wait three minutes to
allow the DC bus capacitors to discharge. Failure to observe this
precaution could result in severe bodily injury or loss of life.
