While switch1 is true, the three

leastĆsignificant bits (bits 0, 1, and 2)

of the variable diagnostic are shifted

out. The remaining bits are shifted

right, and the former least significant

bits (bits 0, 1, and 2) of the integer

variable diagnostic are placed into the

three mostĆsignificant bits (bits 15, 14,

and 13, respectively). The state of the

variable status is true.
