browse that computer's OCI connections, ODBC DSNs, and
most files. The only files that FactoryTalk Transaction
Manager does not browse remotely are DDE and RSLinx
Classic connector tag files.
• FactoryTalk Transaction Manager cannot query remote DDE
servers to retrieve configured DDE topic information
(excluding the RSLinx Classic OPC or RSView32 control
connectors). When the generic DDE control connector is
located on a remote computer, you can do one of the following
to configure DDE topic names:
• Manually enter DDE topic names in the FactoryTalk
Transaction Manager DDE Data Point Configuration
dialog box.
• Install and configure the DDE server on both computers so
that it can be automatically queried for topic names.
Keep the following in mind when copying and pasting FactoryTalk
data points in the data point grid on the FactoryTalk Data Point
dialog box.
Copying
Consider the following rules when copying FactoryTalk data points:
• You must use Ctrl+C.
• You can copy FactoryTalk data points in/from Microsoft
Excel.
• You can copy multiple adjacent rows.
• You cannot copy multiple non-adjacent rows. If multiple
non-adjacent rows are selected, all rows between the first and
last row will be copied.
