Chapter 9
Managing user access
Client activations control the functions that an individual user is
permitted to perform on a specific RSBizWare server. Access to the
content on that server is further restricted by assignment of
application privileges and object permissions.
The process of managing user access was already discussed in the
following sections:
• "Step 18: Assign client activations to users (page 81)"
• "Step 19: Assign application privileges to users (page 82)"
For information on privileges available with individual client
activations, see "FactoryTalk Historian and FactoryTalk Metrics
privileges (page 84)".
In this chapter you will learn about:

To assign application privileges to groups:
1. Open the Service Console.
2. Expand Security Services Manager > Administration.
3. Click Users and Groups.
4. In the right pane of the window, under Groups, click the
group name for which you want to assign application
privileges.
5. Click Edit Group Properties.
