The FactoryTalk Historian Classic and FactoryTalk Metrics
applications require a single database for permanent storage.
Although they share the same database, each application uses unique
tables to support its core functions. The RSBizWare database can be
either a Microsoft SQL Server database or an Oracle database. If you
plan to use Oracle, read this chapter to learn about recommended
Oracle database settings and to learn how to tune your Oracle
database for use with the time-series analysis capabilities of the
FactoryTalk Historian Classic application.
