Chapter 7 Administering RSBizWare servers
The Configuration Console supports the ability to schedule reports
to be performed at some time in the future.
To view a list of reports scheduled by the Configuration
Consoles that are connected to a particular Information Services
Manager:
• In the Service Console, expand your Information Services
Manager tree item, and then click Scheduled Items.
The list of scheduled reports appears in the right pane of the
window.
Use this list to view the reports and to delete scheduled reports
that are no longer necessary.
To delete a scheduled report:
• Click a report, and then click Remove.
The reporting features of the Configuration Console can be applied
to data that exists outside of the RSBizWare database. Before you
can report on the data in an external database table or view, you need
to create an external data source. An external data source is a
connection to any SQL Server or Oracle database that a server can
communicate with using ODBC. After you have created the
external data source, it will be available to users when they create
new report data sources to access tables or views in the external
database.
To create a new external data source (DSN):
1. In the Service Console, expand your Information Services
Manager tree item, an then click External Data Sources.
The list of external data sources appears in the right pane of
the window.
2. Click Add.
