groups can be broken down into logical areas of application
functionality.
For information on privileges available with individual client
activations, see "FactoryTalk Historian and FactoryTalk Metrics
privileges (page 178)".
To assign application privileges to users:
1. In the Service Console, expand Security Services Manager >
Administration.
2. Click Users and Groups.
3. In the right pane of the window, under Users, click the user
name for which you want to assign application privileges.
4. Click Edit User Properties.
The Security Control dialog box appears.
5. In the Privileges tab, in the Server Type list, select the type of
the server for which you want to assign privileges.
6. In the Server list, select a server of the specified server type.
7. Under Place a check..., select the check box to the left of the
privilege that you want to assign to the user.
If the user has inherited privileges from a group, the privileges
are indicated with the group icon:

8. Click OK.
TIP
While it is perfectly acceptable to assign privileges on a
user-by-user basis, the process will become very tedious when
you have a large number of users in the system. For this reason,
you may want to assign privileges at a group level.
