When you draw a text frame in a word processing, draw, spreadsheet, or
database document, you can move, resize, or reshape the text frame. Select the
arrow pointer on the tool panel
and select the text frame. To resize or
reshape the text frame, click a corner handle and drag it to a new position.
Note If you create a text frame and then click outside the frame before you
enter text, the frame disappears.
Typing text
To type text, place the pointer where you want the text and click the mouse.
Then:

Choose Index from the
or Help menu and scroll to the entry. Then choose a topic from
the list and click Go To Topic.

Type a paragraph
Begin typing the text. Don’t press Return when
you reach the end of a line—AppleWorks wraps
the words to the next line.
End one paragraph and start another
Press Return once to end the paragraph. Press
Return again to insert a blank line.
Move the insertion point
Move the I-beam pointer to where you want to
insert text and click. (You can also move the
insertion point by pressing an arrow key.)
Use a line break (or soft return) to end
one line and start another without
creating a new paragraph
Hold down Shift and press Return.
