3. Create the document with the text and art you want posted to the Web.
Adding pictures
You can include pictures in any format supported by AppleWorks, such as
TIFF and PICT. When you save the document as HTML, AppleWorks
translates any art in the document to a format (GIF or JPEG) that is readable
by Web browsers.
Important When you save an HTML file, each picture is saved as a separate
file in the same folder as the document. If you move the HTML file to a
different folder or computer, you must move the picture files to the same
location. To make the pictures and documents easier to find, save each
HTML file (with the pictures) in its own folder.
To add a picture:
1. Open or create the word processing document that you want to use as a Web
page.
To Do this
Apply a style to text Select the text to format, and then click any style from
the stylesheet palette.
Apply a type style to text Select the text, and then click to make the text bold
or click to make the text italic. Don’t use underline,
which is a convention used to indicate a link.
Organize information into a
numbered or bulleted list Choose styles from the pop-up menu. Use
Harvard, Legal, or Number for numbered lists; use Diamond,
Bullet, or Checklist for bulleted lists.
Insert a horizontal line to
separate sections of text Place the insertion point where you want the line to
begin. Choose Insert Page Break or Insert Section Break from
the Format menu. AppleWorks ignores automatic page
breaks when you save the document as HTML.
Add a table Use an inline or floating spreadsheet frame.

Create a link from your
document to a different
document, or to other
information on the Internet See “Linking Web pages” on page 11-6.
