Table 15 Heartbeat LED flash patterns
Condition
Heartbeat LED description
Normal operation
One flash—One second ON followed by
one second OFF.
System Error
Three flashes—Three flash pattern (once per
second) followed by a two second pause.
Management port IP address conflict
Four flashes—Four flash pattern (once per
second) followed by a two second pause.
Air temperature inside the mpx110 has
exceeded the over temperature fault.
Five flashes—Five flash pattern (once per
second) followed by a two second pause.
Input Power LED (green)
The Input Power LED indicates the input voltage status at the mpx110 logic circuit board. During
normal operation, this LED illuminates indicating that the mpx110 logic circuit board is receiving
the DC voltage from the power supply.
System Fault LED (amber)
The System Fault LED illuminates to indicate that a fault exists in the mpx110 firmware or hardware.
Fault conditions include POST errors and over-temperature conditions. Also check the Heartbeat
LED to confirm whether the air temperature inside the mpx110 has exceeded the failure temperature
(see
).
Fibre Channel Port LEDs
•
The top LED (Activity) indicates activity (data) is passing through the port.
•
The middle LED (Link) indicates the logged-in or initialization status of the connected devices.
This LED is on for three seconds and then will flash once for 1-Gbps or twice for 2-Gbps speed.
•
The bottom LED (Fault) indicates an alert (port fault) condition except at power on or reboot.
