Procedure 48 Adding the gateway (H.323 endpoint) as a valid SIP
user

At the Provisioning Client,

1

Ensure that the H.323 Endpoint is fully configured.

See the Provisioning Client User Guide (NN42020-105) for
more complete information on using the SIP Provisioning Client
for setting up and routing to gateways. The number of H.323
Gatekeepers deployed requires an equal number of routes to be
set up.

2

Add the gateway (H.323 Endpoint) as a valid SIP user under
Domains->Domain name->Users->Add user. This is required for
RAS to work properly. Do not configure any aliases for the H.323
endpoints.

3

Add a telephony route.

4

Add a routelist.

5

Configure the gateway in the following order:

domain of the H.323 endpoint

address of the MCS 5100 H.323 Gatekeeper

H.323 id, to the gateway host. The h323_endpoint specifies
the H323-id that was configured on the MCS 5100 H.323
