Using Effects Send to Fly a Key
Effects Send makes it easy to use an external DPM to fly any type
of switcher key over a switcher background (Figure 5-2). To use
Effects Send, do the following:
NOTE: Before you can use Effects Send, the Effects Send Output
option must be installed in the switcher, the switcher and DPM must be
properly interconnected, and the Effects Send Return crosspoints must
be assigned using the Configuration/Define Inputs menu.
1. Set up the key using one of the switcher’s effects keyers.
2. Select that keyer in the Effects Send area of the 1200 panel.
3. Use the DPM to manipulate the key and fill.
4. Use the Transition controls to transition the flying key on air
over a switcher background. You can also use the other keyers
in the switcher to add more key layers.
