Introduction
This section of the Operation manual demonstrates basic
operation of the Model 1200 switcher. Each effect is presented
step-by-step, making learning easy even if you’re using a video
switcher for the first time. If you are new to video switching or if
you encounter terms in this section that you aren’t familiar with,
read “Concepts You’ll Need to Know” in the “Startup” section.
When you have finished working through this section, go on to
the next section to learn more advanced operations.

Starting Conditions
To ensure predictable results, before you do any of the following
procedures, set the switcher to a known state:
1. Press the [Misc] button located left of the menu display. The
Miscellaneous menu will appear in the menu display.
2. Press the [CLEAR WORK BUFFER] soft button below the
menu display. This clears the panel to its default state.
