Keyer Menu

Press the white

[Keyer]

top menu button to display the Keyer

menu shown in Figure 3-50. This menu includes delegation
controls that duplicate the panel delegation buttons. It also
provides precise control over Opacity and Clip/Gain or Opacity
and Foreground Clip/Background Clip.

Keyer Menu Functions:

[CLIP MODE]

—Toggles the keyer controls (in the menu and on the

panel) between clip/gain mode and foreground/background clip
mode. In CLIP/GAIN mode, the (CLIP) and (GAIN) controls adjust the
clip and gain levels of the foreground. In FGD/BKGD mode, the
(FOREGROUND CLIP)

control adjusts the clip level of the foreground

fill video, and the (BACKGROUND CLIP) control adjusts the clip level
of the background video.

[KEY MEMORY]

—Turns Key Memory OFF or ON for all keyers.

When Key memory is on, pressing a Key bus crosspoint recalls the
complete keyer setup last used for that crosspoint.

(KEYER SELECT)

—Delegates the display and soft controls to one of

the three keyers.

(OPACITY)

—Adjusts the key video between transparent and fully

opaque.

(CLIP)

—Adjusts the key foreground fill video clip level. The (CLIP)

control becomes available only when CLIP/GAIN mode is selected.

(GAIN)

—Adjusts the gain of the key, which primarily affects the

transition between foreground and background at the key edges.
The (GAIN) control becomes available only when CLIP/GAIN mode is
selected.

(BACKGROUND CLIP)

—Adjusts the clip level of the key background

video. This control becomes available only when FGD/BKGD mode
is selected.
