Priority/Depth Menu
Press the white
[Prior/Depth]
top menu button to display the
Priority/Depth menu shown in Figure 3-53. This menu gives you
control of the priority and (optional) depth of the effects keyers.
Priority/Depth Menu Functions:
[Z-KEY DEPTH MODE]
—Switches the effects keyers between Depth
and Priority modes. In Priority mode, the keyers have no depth
but the (PRIORITY) soft knob sets which key appears on top. In
(optional) Depth mode, you can adjust the key layers to appear at
different depths. (KEY 1 DEPTH), (KEY 2 DEPTH), and (DEPTH
SOFTNESS)
allow you to adjust the depth of each key layer and the
softness of the mix at any point where they intersect. If the
optional Depth board is not installed, the Z-KEY MODE selection is
not displayed.
[JOYSTICK Z DELEGATION]
—Delegates the joystick to control the
priority of the key layers or their depth when Depth mode is
selected. The various selections allow independent depth control
of Key 1 or Key 2 or the relationship of Key 1 and Key 2 together.
If the optional Depth board is not installed, the JOYSTICK Z DELEG
function offers only two selections: OFF and PRIORITY, and the KEY
DEPTH
and DEPTH SOFTNESS knobs are not displayed.
