Configuration Name Inputs Menus
These menus allow you to input signal and local names without
using a separate keyboard. The Signal Name (Figure 3-26) and
Local Name (Figure 3-27) menus are found under the [Config] top-
level menu. From the Configuration Menu screen the submenu
path is:

Signal Name Menu
—Press [DEFINE INPUTS>] then [ENTER
NAME]
to access the menu
■
Local Name Menu
—Press [DEFINE INPUTS>] then [XPT DISP
LEGENDS>]
then [ENTER LOCAL] to access the menu
NOTE:
You may also use an external keyboard to enter these
characters if so desired. But note that these menus will not appear if a
keyboard is attached to the control panel.
1.
Select each character by turning the soft knobs located to the
right of the menu display.
2.
Enter the selected character by pressing the [ACCEPT CHAR]
soft button. The new character will be displayed in the menu.
3.
Continue selecting characters in this manner until the name is
spelled out in the menu.
4.
Press [ACCEPT NAME] to store the name. The system
automatically returns to the previous menu.
NOTE:
The Signal Name menu will accept up to fifteen characters.
The Local Name menu will accept up to four characters. The Readout
Display Option board must be present to show the four character Local
Names that have been assigned.
