Name Volume
Three new menus have been created to allow naming of the disk
volumes, directories and Files. The Volume Name (Figure 3-49),
menu is found under the [Disk] top-level menu. From the Disk
Menu screen the submenu path is:

Volume Label Menu
- Press [FORMAT>] then [LABEL
VOLUME]
to access the menu
NOTE:
You may use an external keyboard to enter these characters if
so desired. These menus will not appear if a keyboard is attached to the
control panel.
1.
Select each character by turning the soft knobs located to the
right of the menu display.
2.
Enter the selected character by pressing the [ACCEPT CHAR]
soft button. The new character will be displayed in the menu.
3.
Continue selecting characters in this manner until the name is
spelled out in the menu.
4.
Press [ACCEPT NAME] to store the name. The system
automatically returns to the previous menu.
NOTE:
The Volume Label menu will accept names of up to eleven
characters. The Directory Name, and the File Name menus will accept
names of up to eight characters.
