Matte Wash Method 2

Select Transition
[BKGD]
and
[KEY 1]
.

Select Keyer
[PRESET PATTERN]
and
[MATTE FILL]
.
2.
Select the second pattern from the left in the top row of
patterns and
[REVERSE]
. All other wipe modifiers should be off
for now.
3.
Turn on Pattern
[MASK/PRESET PATTERN]
and adjust
(SIZE)
to set
the pattern edge to the middle of the preview monitor screen.
4.
Select the
[BKGD]
matte crosspoint on the Key bus, and set the
Matte controls for a dark blue color at the top of the preview
monitor screen.
5.
Select a
[MATTE CROSSPOINT]
on the PGM and PST buses, and set
the matte controls for a reddish-brown color at the bottom of
the preview monitor screen.
6.
Turn on the pattern
[BORDER]
button, and set the pattern edge
(WIDTH)
control for a 1-inch wipe border. Use the Matte
controls to make the border yellow. (Pressing
[PRESET PATTERN]
delegates the Matte controls to the Preset border.)
7.
Turn on the Pattern
[SOFT]
button, and adjust pattern edge
(SOFTNESS)
to soften the entire screen. This completes the wash
effect.
8.
Transition the effect on. If you wish, you can key over it with
Key 2 and the DSK.
