Monochrome Video Effect
You can use the proc amp controls to create special effects, such as
the following monochrome effect:
1.
On the PGM bus, double press a video
[CROSSPOINT]
. This will
cause the Proc Amp menu to appear in the menu display.
2.
Adjust the
(CHROMA SATURATION)
soft knob in the Proc Amp
menu to make the on-air video black and white. If you wish,
you can key over this black and white scene with a color
image, or you can do a transition to the same background
video in full color as follows:
3.
Press the
[CONFIG]
top level menu button, and select the
[XPT
MAP]
soft button from the menu that appears. This will bring
up the Crosspoint Map menu.
4.
In the Crosspoint Map menu, assign the video source selected
in step 1 to a second crosspoint. When finished, you should
have the same video source assigned to two different
crosspoints.
5.
Select the newly-mapped
[CROSSPOINT]
on the PST bus.
6.
Now do a background mix or wipe between the monochrome
and color versions of the same scene.
