Section 5 — L-S Series Panel Operation

Level Select mode on the LD4 panel is set via the menu:

1.

Press the

Menu

button. The windows will display various configuration

modes. Press the

Up/Down

arrow buttons to display the

Level Select

window (D3). It will report its current setting, either

ALL ON

or

ALL OFF.

2.

Press the soft button for

Level Select

. The mode will toggle to the other

state and the panel will exit Menu mode.

Breakaways can be disabled on the CP Level Set table by setting the Break
Flag for each level to `N.'

Deselect Levels Method

1.

Confirm the desired active destination is shown in yellow in the
Destination window and Level Select mode is

ALL_ON

.

2.

Press the soft buttons for the levels you do NOT want to switch so the
buttons are turned off. To move beyond the first 4 levels, use the

Up/Down

arrow buttons.

3.

Select a source, using one of the methods described under

Selecting a

Source (Single Destination Mode) on page 70

. The selected (i.e., preset)

source will appear in cyan.

If the level indicator is blank, the source may not exist on that level
(e.g., audio from a camera).

4.

Press

Take

. The source will switch only on the selected levels to the

controlled destination, while the non-selected levels remain at the
previously selected source. The level windows will indicate the status
of the first 4 levels.

If Sticky Levels is off, after the Take all levels will automatically be rese-
lected (their soft buttons will illuminate). If Sticky Levels is on, only the
levels involved in the last Take will remain selected.

Select Levels Method

This method is the reverse of the above procedure.

1.

Confirm the desired active destination is shown in yellow in the
Destination window and Level Select mode is

ALL_OFF

.

2.

Toggle ON the soft button(s) corresponding to the level(s) to be
switched. To move beyond the first 4 levels, use the

Up/Down

arrow

buttons.

3.

Select a source using one of the methods described under

Selecting a

Source (Single Destination Mode) on page 70

.

4.

Press

Take

. The source will switch only on the selected levels, while the

non-selected levels will remain at the previously selected source.
