LD4 Control Panel
Direct Category Button Method
This is the fastest method to take a source to destination on this panel.
1.
Confirm the desired active destination is shown in yellow in the
Destination window.
2.
Press a Category (e.g., “VTR”) and unit number (e.g., “2”) button
combination. If the entry is valid, the defined category/number will be
displayed in the D16 window, in cyan.
The mnemonic for the source will be shown in the Status window, top
row, and also appears in the various level displays (the D1-D4 win-
dows).
3.
Press
Take
. All selected levels will switch to the new source. The
mnemonic of the new source will be displayed in the Status window, in
green. The level displays will show the source name, in green, for each
of the first 4 levels defined in the CP Level set assigned to the panel.

If source swap mode is ON, the Undo button will be high green
tally. Pressing the Undo button will display the previously selected
source, in cyan. This permits flip-flop switching. For more informa-

Page Selection Method
1.
Confirm the desired active destination is shown in yellow in the
Destination window
2.
Press
Menu
and push the
Select Source?
soft button for the D4 window.
The D1 window will display
Source?
in white. Sources will appear in
groups of four, in green, in the D1-D4 windows.
3.
Use the
Up/Down
arrow buttons to scroll through the available sources.
Note
The same as destination selection, you can restrict the sources displayed in
the windows by pressing a Category button at this time (see
4.
Select the desired source by pressing its adjacent soft button.
5.
To execute the switch, press
Take
. The source will be switched to the
active destination, and the name of that source will appear in the
Destination window, in green.
Breakaways (LD4 Panel)
Breakaway takes of individual levels can be accomplished either by de-
selecting the level(s) you do NOT not want to switch, or by choosing which
levels you DO want to switch. Which method is used depends on the
panel’s
Level Select
mode setting.
