Configuring the Maximum Number of Users Accessible to a Port
You can set the maximum number of users in system view for multiple ports, or in interface view
for only the current port. If both a global setting and a local setting exist on a port, the one
configured later takes effect.
Follow these steps to set the maximum number of users accessible to a port:

Setting the Maximum Number of Attempts for Sending an Authentication
Request
After the device sends an authentication request to a client, if the device receives no response
from the client within a period time (specified by the dot1x timer tx-period tx-period-value
command or the dot1x timer supp-timeout supp-timeout-value command), the device
retransmits the authentication request. If the number of transmission attempts exceeds the
specified upper limit but the device still receives no response, it stops transmitting the request.
