To Perform a Take by Selecting Only a New Source
As long as the Destination that you want is already selected, you can perform a Take by selecting a
new Source, then pressing the Take button.
1. Leaving the Destination selection unchanged, select a new Source. The Source button illuminates
to indicate that it is selected. The LCD display shows the real time video thumbnail image of the
Source you selected so that you can visually verify the content.
2. Press the Take button. Your newly selected Source is now routed to the Destination. The LCD
display continues to show the real time video thumbnail image that is currently being routed to
your chosen Destination. The Take button is no longer illuminated.
Performing Direct Takes with the Router Control Panel
In Direct Take mode, you leave the same Destination selected while choosing a series of different
Sources. There is no need to press the Take button when in Direct Take mode.
To Perform a Direct Take
1. Press the Direct button in the upper far right area of the router control panel. The Direct button
illuminates to indicate that it is active.
2. Press a Destination button.
3. Press a Source button. The Destination immediately reflects your newly selected Source.
As long as you remain in Direct Take mode, you can continue to change Sources for the same
Destination by pressing one Source button at a time in sequence.
To Exit Direct Take Mode
Press the Direct button in the upper far right area of the router control panel. The Direct button is no
longer illuminated.
Accessing Ancillary Data with the Router Control Panel
For each video source, the Router detects and measures key parameters such as synchronicity, timing,
line and frame rate, embedded audio presence/absence, closed caption information, and timecode
data.
To Access Ancillary Data
For the Source currently showing in the LCD display, use the two small buttons located to the left of
the LCD to navigate among the screens that show ancillary data. There are three ancillary data screens.
Use either button to navigate among these screens.
