Avenue 9430 Flexible Matrix Router
Installation, Configuration and Operations Guide
7.3.2 Router Responses
All commands sent to the 9430 Router must be terminated with a carriage return character (0DH).
Upon receiving a carriage return, the 9430 Router will send a response to the automation system.
The possible responses are a simple Prompt Response or a Status Response followed by a Prompt
Response. These are discussed below.
Prompt Response
This response consists of the single ASCII character ‘>’ (3EH).
The 9430 Router will send this response anytime it receives a carriage return. This is an indication to
the automation system that the router is ready for the next command.
If a command is sent to the 9430 Router that requires a more extensive response, the Prompt
Response will be sent immediately following the more extensive response.
