DIAGNOSTICS
PURPOSE
The MCE 300 is designed to allow access to 3 diagnostic tests. These tests provide information
which is helpful in diagnosing problems and providing full functional testing of the unit. The
diagnostic command is set-up so that once the unit is in the diagnostic mode, you may access any
of the 3 diagnostic tests. A CTRL C (control C) command will terminate the diagnostic mode.
TEST 1 - RAM TEST
This tests the unit's RAM module to make sure each location can be written to and read from. The
information presently in the RAM will not be altered during this test. Upon completion of the test
the unit will print either "RAM PASSED" or "RAM FAILED".
To perform the RAM test:
At an asterisk (*) prompt -

Enter the X command.
The unit will prompt you:
DIAGNOSTIC MODE
SELECT TEST (1-3):

Enter a 1 for the RAM test.
The unit will respond with:
RAM TEST
Upon completion of the test the unit will respond with either:
RAM PASSED if the RAM is OK, or
RAM FAILED if the RAM is defective.
The unit will prompt you:
SELECT TEST (1-3):

Enter the next test desired or a CTRL C to exit the diagnostic mode.
