To encode cards (non-automatic mode):
1. At
the * prompt, type S. The unit prompts:
AUTOMATIC MODE (Y/N)?
2. Type N for no. The unit prints the first card in the data file and waits for a response.
Carriage Return - Encode the card.
Line Feed - Skip this card and move to the next.
A - Encode the card and repeat with the same card.
Backspace - Back up to the previous card.
Control C - Exit the S command.

Give the desired response.
The unit indicates the desired action and awaits for the appropriate response. This continues
until you reach the end of the data file or until the command is terminated (CTRL C). Once
the unit reaches the end of the data file, it responds: LAST CARD IN DATA FILE.
