Example: Card Layouts
The following two layouts are examples of typical Series 1000 and CFN card layouts. The single
card portion of these layouts is shown for simplicity. The configuration load example on the next
page matches both of these layouts.
Series 1000 - The PIN (when used) for Series 1000 Systems is always calculated against the 4
digit card number.
CFN - The PIN (when used) for CFN Systems is always calculated against numbers in the
account field. The account field begins immediately after the field separator which follows the
system I.D. and continues until the next field separator. The PIN is calculated against the quantity
of numbers in this field as indicated in "TOTAL # OF DIGITS FOR PIN CALC." The PIN
calculation always begins against the first number of the account field.
