To add an entry to the CPU Interface Filtering Table, click the Add button. This will open the CPU
Interface Filtering Configuration page, as shown below. There are three Access Profile Configuration
pages; one for Ethernet (or MAC address-based) profile configuration, one for IP address-based profile
configuration and one for the Packet Content Mask. You can switch between the three Access Profile
Configuration pages by using the Type drop-down menu. The page shown below is the Ethernet CPU
Interface Filtering Configuration page.

Parameter Description
Profile ID (1-3) Type in a unique identifier number for this profile set. This value can be set from 1 - 3.
Type Select profile based on Ethernet (MAC Address), IP address or packet content mask. This
will change the menu according to the requirements for the type of profile.
• Select Ethernet to instruct the Switch to examine the layer 2 part of each packet
header.
• Select IP to instruct the Switch to examine the IP address in each frame's header.
• Select Packet Content Mask to specify a mask to hide the content of the packet
header.
VLAN Selecting this option instructs the Switch to examine the VLAN identifier of each packet
header and use this as the full or partial criterion for forwarding.
Source MAC Source MAC Mask - Enter a MAC address mask for the source MAC address.
Destination MAC Destination MAC Mask - Enter a MAC address mask for the destination MAC address.
