DISCONNECTED
The
telephone
line
was
disconnected
by
the
other
party
during
the
communication.
Try
calling
the other party to see what happened.
DOCUMENTJAM
The
documents
were
not
inserted
properly,
the
documents
were
not
fed
properly,
or
the
documents
were
too
long.
Opeh
thé
front
cover
and
remove
the
documents.

page
13-1~2.)
Close
the
front
cover
and
re-insert
the
documents,
adjusting
the
guides
on
either
side
of
the
document. Try .sending the fax again.
MACHINE ERROR XX and PRESS STOP KEY
Contact the Customer Service number listed on page 13-3.
NO RESPONSE/BUSY
The number you called does not answer or is busy. You may also have reached a number that is
not connected to a fax. Check the number and try again.
NOT REGISTERED
The One-Touch key or Speed-Dial number has no number assigned to it. You need to register a
phone number. {See page 4-4~7.)
PAPER ROLL EMPTY
The paper roll is empty. You need to replace it. (See page 1-5.)
PRINTER FAULT
The recording head has overheated. Unplug the power cord and wait for 30 minutes.
PRINTER JAM
The fax paper is jammed in the printer. Remove the jammed paper. (See page 13-2.) Then insert
the fax paper again. (See page 1-5.)
SCANNER ERROR
Try to clean the scanner and white bar. (See page 13-1.)

Other Problems
Condensed Print and Horizontal Streaks Cut Off Top and Bottom of Sentences
This is usually caused by a bad connection, interference or static on the phone line. Make a copy.
If the copy is fine, the machine is OK. Try to receive from other parties and try your machine on
another phone line. Have the phone line checked by the telephone company.
Copies and Received Faxes are Blank (White) Pages
The roll of recording paper is upside down or you are not using thermal fax paper. Scratch both
sides of the thermal fax paper and place the side with a black or gray line face up.
Cover Page Comment Always Prints “Please CalP’
The
Cover
Page
report
is
only
a
sample
of
the
format
and
always
prints
“Please
Call”.
The
comment you programmed will be generated at the receiving machine.
