Load the fax paper again and push the release lever (blue) down. Then close the machine’s top
cover.
Troubleshooting
You
may
occasionally
encounter
a
problem
with
your
fax
machine
or
telephone
line.
If
this
happens,
your
fax
machine
often
identifies
the
problem
and
displays
an
error
message.
Refer
to
the
following
list
when
you
see
an
error
message
on
the
display.

Error Messages
CLEAN UP SCANNER
The scanner is dirty. Clean the scanner. (See page 13-1.)
COMM.ERROR
You
encountered
a
communications
error
that
resulted
from
a
poor
quality
phone
line.
Try
the
call again.
CONNECTION FAIL
You
have
requested
a
polling
call
from
another
party,
but
the
remote
station
is
not
in
polled
waiting mode.
COVER OPEN
The machine’s top cover is not closed completely. Make sure it is closed.
CUTTER JAM
The faxpaper is jammed in the cutter. Remove the jammed paper. (See page 13-2.) Then re-insert
the fax paper. (See page 1-5.)
