Check or change a patient monitor
network name (ESSID)
In order for a wireless monitor to connect to the wireless Acuity LT System network, the
monitor must be set to the correct network name (ESSID) for the system. The system
network name is shown on a label on the left side panel of the Acuity LT Central Station
CPU.
This section describes how to check and change the network name for each type of
wireless patient monitor that can be connected to the Acuity LT System network.
Micropaq monitor network name (ESSID)
Check the Micropaq monitor network name
1. Press to highlight SYSTEM INFORMATION, and then press to display the
System Information menu.
2. Press twice to highlight NETWORK STATUS, and then press .
3. Press to exit.
Change the Micropaq monitor network name
1. Press repeatedly until SERVICE MENU is highlighted.
2. Press to display the Service Menu screen.
Network name
Note Changing the patient monitor network name causes the monitor to restart and
seek to connect with any nearby wireless Acuity System network corresponding
to the new name. Do not attempt to change the network name unless you are a
qualified biomedical service engineer or technician.
