To mount the AP and antennas
• Insert the AP into the mounting bracket:
Align the keyhole slots at the back.
Slide the AP into the bracket.
Verify that the AP is attached securely.
To mount the antennas
For best performance and network coverage, follow these instructions precisely:
1. Mount the SD antenna (the primary antenna) horizontally on the ceiling, on the left
side of the AP. The left side connector is marked with a “I” on the back of the AP.
For suspended ceilings, take the following steps:
• Cut out a notch in the corner of a tile to allow the SD cable to recess into the
ceiling.
• Slide the SD antenna clips over the rails to hold the antenna in place.
2. Route the SD antenna cable to the AP, and connect the cable to the AP’s left side
connector.
3. Connect the whip antenna to the AP’s right side connector, and orient the antenna in
a vertical position.
The right side connector is marked with a “II” on the back of the AP.
4. Connect the data cable and power cable from the PoE to the AP, as shown.
5. Use the clip on the back of the PoE to secure it to one of the cables.
6. Verify that the data cable is connected to the switch.
